It was our 1st visit to Newcastle and we stumbled across this beautiful desi place. We were staying at a nearby hotel so wanted to have a breakfast out somewhere and we also wanted a halal breakfast.
We all loved what we ordered, halwa puri breakfast, cheese paratha and omelette paratha with karak chai’s. Really tasty food. Especially the halwa puri.
Thank you to the amazing chef 👌🏽 honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Glad we ditched our hotel breakfast for this ☺️
I would definitely visit again, maybe next time I’ll try the Street Food menu.

I'm a regular customer at karak chai but what made my experience more better was that I got served by a lovely lady behind the till named Ayesha. She was lovely and sweet to talk too and I felt like trying something different as I always go in for the tea. She recommended the keema chips which is cool because I really enjoy keema curry but what's even cool is the idea of putting chips on top of it. The food was absolutely amazing and tasty and very reasonably priced. I was really happy with the customer service from ayesha as she gave me a loyalty card which helps me a lot as I usually always go in for the tea. So on my 5th visit I can treat myself to a free tea. 😊 (thanks ayesha)- Food

My Karak Chai’s menu has a large selection to choose from and the items are reasonably priced. I love their parathas - simple yet delicious. One of my fav spots for a quick lunch. & received top notch customer service from the guy who served us, got our food really quick after mentioning we were in a rush.

Absolutely loved this place!!!!!!!! They make the Roties fresh right in front of you and they taste the bestt!!!!!!! Friendly staff and the atmosphere is great with amazing music feels very nice and welcoming.

When we read the reviews of this location, we couldn't help but drive all the way to Fenham for breakfast here (20 minutes of driving was well WORTH it). This location consists of many Chai cafes.
The food was HEAVENLY. It transported me back to the days I was in South India with amazing food (I'm well aware that this is a Pakistani Restaurant. There certainly are its similarities). Authentic spices, with great heat, something I thoroughly enjoyed.
Apna Breakfast - Masala Omellette, Daal, Parathas and Karak Chai.
- It was so delicious. My Malaysian tongue was in heaven.
- The Karak Chai had totally NO resemblance to the powdered 'Masala Chai' you can get in so many chain coffee shops. Milky, spiced naturally - just perfect.
Chilli Paneer
- Fried cottage cheese chunks with a thick spicy onion and chilli sauce
Gol Gappay
- Crispy shells stuffed with potatoes and chickpeas
Freshly-squeezed orange juice
All this for a total of less than 20 quid! Totally worth the experience.
I would come all the way here again for another meal. And that will certainly is soon enough.I haded great time here and the employees were help full and I was so satisfied specially with Salman he was help full and thanks for ur great service I’ll definitely visit this restaurant again don’t hesitate go and try it

Probably the best desi food in the UK. Went there as I was craving for some authentic desi food and ordered the desi breakfast and the aaloo Paratha with chai and I must admit the food was incredible. The staff was also very friendly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who's craving for good quality desi food.

I was looking for spicy quick bite, Googled restaurants in westroad open till late, Found this “karak chai”, They are open till 3am. I went there at 1am 😅 and ordered cheeky cheetoos burger meal and a Karak chai. Got the food really quick. I got one burger, Spicy mayo, Curly fried and Coca cola. It costs 10.19 which is very reasonable and food was really good.

Our first visit was worth it👌. Came with a group and the breakfast was a solid 10 out of 10 no doubt. The paratha taste was perfect with the combination of omelette and dal😍. The environment was calm. Besides, the staff was friendly too. Looking forward to coming here with my family..
Great choice of street food and amazing dishes. Flavoursome food and fab service. Great place to try on the west road.

Popped in mid walk for a light bite. Butter chicken roll with a large tea for just £5.99 represents the best value in Newcastle. Paratha was nice, crisp and not over oily while the butter chicken was just spicy enough to make you sit up but not over powering. Staff are lovely ....whole experience was just fab !!
